Mixed messages on the front page

On the front page of the July 11 issue of The Day was an article featuring Jack Perch, a wonderful, caring, 8-year-old child, and his response upon hearing of the violent attack on an egret committed by two teens at Ocean Beach. ON THE SAME PAGE was a photo of "Bullfighting in Pamplona." Bullfighting is not a "sport." It is the savage, brutal act of torturing an animal to death. Perhaps your Editorial Staff should arrange a meeting with young Mr. Perch, a sensitive and compassionate child, and learn from him. Shame on you!
