Nips, not dinner with glass of wine, to blame

Connecticut lawmakers are poised to lower the blood alcohol content level to a point where a working couple who goes out to dinner and has two glasses of wine can lose their license to drive and most likely lose their jobs. If lawmakers really wanted to stop driving and drinking they would ban nips.

Based on the amount of litter on the side of the roads from nips, anyone with half a brain would realize that the sale of nips is increasing driving and drinking. Where have all the mothers against drunk driving (MADD) been on the issue of nips? They must realize that the sale of nips greatly increases the risk of driving and drinking. There has not been a word out of that group on the sale of nips.

Also, where are all those environmentalists been who were so quick to ban the plastic grocery bags which only increased the profits for the grocery industry. Nips are a much greater threat to the environment then the plastic bags ever were. Let’s leave the blood alcohol level for driving under the influence as is and ban the sale of nips.
