    Colleges: Conn's DeLuc repeats as ECAC champ in steeplechase

    Troy, N.Y. - Connecticut College sophomore Mike LeDuc won the 3,000-meter steelpechase for the second straight year at the ECAC Division III Track and Field Championships in Troy, N.Y. He broke his own school record, finishing in 9 minute, 1.83 seconds.

    The 4x800 relay of Matt Boudreau, Tristan Cole, Ian Rathkey of Old Lyme and Andrew Duarte earned All-ECAC honors by placing sixth in a school record 7:49.46.

    In the 4x100 meter relay, Rasheed Mitchell, Brian Gooch, Geoff Phaneuf and Alex DeShields posted a school record time of 43.44 seconds.

    The Camels tied for 27th overall with 13 points.

    • Coast Guard sophomore Adam Scalesse earned All-ECAC honors with a seventh-place finish in the 110 hurdles at the ECAC Division III Championships. He posted the fastest time in the trials (14.73) before running a 16.31 in the finals.

    Women's track

    • Coast Guard freshman Beth Gollin broke her own school record in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 11:08.75 to place sixth and earn All-ECAC honors at the ECAC Division III Championships.

    Sophomore Abby Bishop was seventh in the heptathlon with 3,731 points to earn All-ECAC honors. In the heptathlon, she was second in the 800 meters (2:33.87), fifth in the shot put with a personal-best of 9.16 meters, sixth in the javelin (26.38 meters), seventh in the 200 meters (27.71), 10th in the 100 meter hurdles (16.74), 10th in the high jump (1.39 meters) and 11th in the long jump (4.47 meters).
