Garden Conservancy announces tours in Stonington
Explore two private gardens in North Stonington and Stonington, open to the public for self-guided tours on Saturday, July 16, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., to benefit The Garden Conservancy. No reservations required; rain or shine. Special highlights include fields of glacial outcroppings and more than 600 daylily cultivars, annual and perennial cutting gardens, and a quarter-mile-long boxwood hedge.
Visitors may begin at either Blue Flag Farm, 449 Pendleton Hill Road, North Stonington; or Stone Acres - Estate of Mr. & Mrs. Frederic C. Paffard, Jr., 385 North Main Street, Stonington.
Admission is $5 per garden; children age 12 and younger get in free.
