A great day for the sweet smell of garlic

Ah, there are few odors in the world as stunning as garlic. And we mean that as a compliment. That signature smell will be wafting and winding its way all around Olde Mistick Village today, during the third annual Garlic Festival. Local farmers and restaurants will sell garlic-happy dishes for folks to taste. Experts will talk about such topics as growing garlic and the medicinal value of garlic, and musicians will perform. The Garlic Festival runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the village, Coogan Boulevard, Mystic. Visit www.OldeMistickVillage.com.
