Norwich cathedral to take part in worldwide vigil

Norwich - On the eve of the first Sunday of Advent, Pope Benedict XVI will preside at a vigil for all new human life in the Basilica of Saint Peter.

Pope Benedict requested that in their respective churches, all bishops join with him in prayer for nascent human life.

In the Cathedral of Saint Patrick, the Most Rev. Michael R. Cote, D.D., Bishop of Norwich, will preside at the local vigil "in celebration of prayer and thanksgiving for the gift of new life" on Nov. 27 at 7 p.m.
