    Connecticut Tigers seek host families

Norwich The Connecticut Tigers will hold an informational meeting for those interested in learning more about the Host Family Program for players on the minor league baseball team for the 2011 season. The meeting will be Tuesday, April 26, from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Thomas J. Dodd Memorial Stadium in "The Yard" Bar and Grill on the suite level.

Tigers' staff will explain the program. Families who participated in the program in 2010 will be in attendance to help answer questions.

The Tigers are looking for host families in the community to house one or more players from mid-June through the first week of September. In addition to the chance to house a potential future major leaguer, host families receive a number of additional exclusive benefits including tickets and discounts.

"We were extremely happy with the response from the community for our host family program in 2010," Tigers Director of Community Relations and Promotions Dave Schermerhorn said.
