New London - Residents are invited to two community forums Friday on "Creating Democracy and Challenging Corporate Rule," with guest speaker David Cobb of the Move to Amend campaign.

Events are scheduled for 3 p.m. at the Blaustein Dining Room at Connecticut College and at 6 p.m. at the Provenance Center, 165 State St.

Cobb is on a weeklong speaking tour in Connecticut that includes visits to University of Connecticut, Southern Connecticut State University, Wesleyan University and Kent Town Hall.

Move To Amend was formed in response to the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling, Citizens United v. FEC, which opened the floodgates to unlimited corporate spending on elections.

Cobb, an attorney and organizer for Move to Amend, will discuss the history of the decision.
