Hamburg Turns Himself in on Larceny Charge

On Friday, May 11 at 11 a.m., Jeffrey R. Hamburg, 63, turned himself in to the Madison Police Department Criminal Investigative Divistion on an arrest warrant for violation of Connecticut Connecticut General Statute 53a-122: Larceny in the First Degree.

Hamburg is formerly of Madison, with a last known address of West Hartford.

Hamburg's arrest stems from a lengthy investigation into a larceny from a trust account.

Hamburg was processed on the above listed charge and released on a $10,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in G.A. 23, New Haven, at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, May 22.

Hamburg was a person of interest in the 2010 death of his wife, Barbara Hamburg, who was found bludgeoned to death in the yard of her Middle Beach Road West home by the couple's two children in March of that year. Jeffrey Hamburg was living in West Hartford at the time. He was not charged in his wife's death; investigators determined there was not enough evidence to incarcerate him. His most recent arrest is unrelated.

Hamburg has been in court several times in recent years for failure to pay child support and alimony.
