Westerly Hospital hosts 'Food as Medicine' program June 13
Westerly – Dr. David Schwindt will present a free community education program titled, "Food as Medicine" from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. June 13 at The Westerly Hospital's Nardone Conference Center.
Board certified in internal medicine, pediatrics and acupuncture, Dr. Schwindt will provide current practical information about selecting health-promoting foods for wellness and cancer prevention. Christine Gentry, registered nurse and the hospital's Complimentary Therapy program coordinator, will talk about complementary therapy services available at the hospital. A question-and-answer session will follow.
