The Groton Town Police wants to remind the public of traffic alerts and temporary no parking orders in the downtown Mystic area for Friday.

The alert and temporary order is in connection with the final paving of the downtown area. All businesses will be open and accessible to the public.

The areas to be paved include: Water Street, from West Main Street to the Mystic Art Association parking lot entrance and West Main Street, at the intersection of High Street.

The temporary no parking order for Water Street will go into effect at 4 a.m., run until 6 p.m.

Shoppers and visitors can park free for five hours at the Mystic Art Association parking lot. The lot will always be accessible from the south on Water Street.

There will be alternating one-way traffic in place during paving operations, which may cause some traffic delays.
