    Bank forecloses on Norwich properties

Norwich – Jewett City Savings Bank recently completed mortgage foreclosure action on several downtown and Greeneville properties that had been owned by New Renaissance LLC, a firm owned Norwich couple Jon M. Day Sr. and Pamela J. Hubbard-Day.

The most notable property in the foreclosure action is an 1865 3.5-story commercial building at 50-52 Broadway, where a small fire recently damaged a first floor ceramics shop.

Other downtown properties are at 38 N. Cliff St., 54 Lake St., 55 Lake St., 49 Union St., 55 Union St. and 70 Union St. The Greeneville property is at 500 N. Main St.

Ernest Muccio, credit administer for Jewett City Savings Bank, said he is working on a listing agreement to sell the properties and should have them on the market for sale soon. No auction is planned for the buildings, he said.
