Moon Festival celebration to be held Sept. 30

Montville — The Chinese and American Cultural Assistance Association will hold its Moon Festival from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 30 at St. Bernard School.

Admission is free. Food, soft drinks and moon cakes will be available to purchase. Montville students will perform martial arts demonstrations, traditional dances and folk songs. Organizers said the Moon Festival is similar to a Thanksgiving celebration and is meant to mark the end of the growing season.
