    Waterford Country School elects trustees

Waterford – Two members were elected to the Waterford Country School’s Board of Trustees last year.

Christine Hammond and Nicholas Fortson, who replaced Eunice Waller and Gerald Levine, were elected to the 17-member board last fall.

Hammond serves as chairman of the English department at Three Rivers Community College in Norwich and is also an English professor. She is also a board member on the Gemma Moran Food Center.

Fortson is the chief financial officer at CorePlus Federal Credit union in Norwich and also serves as a board member for Habitat for Humanity of Southeastern Connecticut.

Both members have yet to be assigned to a Waterford Country School committee, but the school’s director of development and community support, Julianna Velazquez, said they will be assigned to a committee, where their expertise will be best used.
