Old Lyme bridge repairs will bring some lane closures
Old Lyme — Repairs to the Flat Rock Hill Road Bridge over I-95 will lead to lane closures beginning Friday, the state Department of Transportation announced.
[naviga:ul][naviga:li]Flat Hill Rock Road is restricted to alternating one-way traffic using a temporary traffic signal.[/naviga:li][/naviga:ul][naviga:ul][naviga:li]I-95 Northbound between exits 70 and 71 might be restricted to one-lane during the following times: Monday – Thursday from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.; Friday 11 p.m. to Saturday 7 a.m.; Saturday 9 p.m. to Sunday 8 a.m.; and Sunday 9 p.m. to Monday 6 a.m.[/naviga:li][/naviga:ul][naviga:ul][naviga:li]I-95 Southbound between exits 70 and 71 might be restricted to one lane during the followings times: Monday – Thursday from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.; Friday 10 p.m. to Saturday 6 a.m.; Saturday 11 p.m. to Sunday 8 a.m.; and Sunday 11 p.m. to Monday 9 a.m.[/naviga:li][/naviga:ul]
The construction project, scheduled to be completed in November 2014, will replace the bridge’s deck and parapets, repair the substructure and improve drainage at the approaches, according to a DOT press release.
