Norwich – United Community & Family Service will present three programs during National Problem Gambling Awareness Week next month.

On March 4, Thomas Broffman, assistant professor at Eastern Connecticut State University, will present, “Everything You Wanted to Know about Problem Gambling, But Were Afraid to Ask.”

On March 5, Mary Lou Costanzo, clinical director of problem gambling services, and John Ricci, peer counselor at UCFS, will present, “Take the Problem out of Gambling: Understanding the Financial Risks and Responsibilities.” On March 7, Susan McLaughlin, prevention services coordinator for the problem gambling services department at the state Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, will present: “Enhancing Your Prevention Programs by Including Gambling as a Risky Behavior.”

The sessions will be from noon to 2 p.m. at The Edward & Mary Lord Family Health Center at UCFS, 47 Town St. A light lunch will be provided.
