Don't forget to vote on the town budget and bonding questions this week.

This Thurs., May 23 from noon to 8 p.m. polls will be open at the Mulvey Municipal Center in Westbrook. On the ballot will be the annual budget question as well as several requested bond authorizations to support capital equipment and capital maintenance project financing.

The proposed town and schools budget for the fiscal year beginning on July 1 is $25, 390,000.

The three bonding questions ask for authorization for $3.6 million for the fire department capital purchases including replacement of the ladder truck, $1.5 million for town public works infrastructure projects, and $1.9 million for various school capital projects including school boiler replacement, roof restoration, and energy efficiency improvements.
