Mystic teen charged in home trashing arrested in beer burglary

Mystic — The Mystic teenager charged last week with causing as much as $100,000 of damage to an unoccupied Pawcatuck home, has been arrested again, this time for allegedly breaking into a Mystic garage and stealing beer.

Cullen S. Faulise, 18, of 28 Meadowbrook Lane, Mystic, was charged by Stonington police Friday with third-degree burglary, third-degree criminal mischief and sixth-degree larceny in connection with a May 19 burglary of a Hatch Street residence. He was released on a $25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in New London Superior Court May 24.

Last Tuesday, Stonington police charged Faulise with damaging the Osbrook Point home where he was throwing parties this winter. He was released on a $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on those charges May 28.

Police said the owners found the entire home had been vandalized with dozens of holes up to 3 feet in diameter in the walls, and damage to floors, countertops, doors, thermostats and lights. A rug was burned in front of the fireplace.

There was also evidence of parties as smashed bottles, cups, cans, garbage, condoms, urine and feces were strewn about the home. Items were also stolen from the house, which did not have any power. Police said they had determined Faulise was the ringleader and organizer of the parties which were held on a regular basis.
