    Mitchell College names Michael Fishbein vice president and dean

    New London -- Michael Fishbein, Ph.D., has been named Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the College, Mitchell College has announced.

    Fishbein, who starts this week, most recently served as Vice Chancellor for Special Projects at Antioch University Midwest. He also worked as an administrator at Daniel Webster College, Lyndon State College, Cazenovia College, The College of Saint Rose and The Sage Colleges, according to a news release.

    As a professor of psychology, he taught at Daniel Webster College, Roosevelt University and Vassar College.

    Mitchell President Mary Ellen Jukoski stated, "On behalf of the faculty and staff, I am delighted to have someone of Dr. Fishbein's considerable experience and solid expertise on our team."

    Dr. Fishbein holds a Ph.D. in Social Psychology and a master's degree in Social Psychology from Clark University and a bachelor's degree from Bernard M. Baruch College, City University of New York. His articles have been published in the Journal of Experimental Social Psychology and Psychological Reports and he has presented papers at numerous academic conferences over three decades.
