East Lyme — Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Community Center on Society Road for residents to vote on the $63,173,158 town budget for 2013-14.
The budget represents a 1.54 percent increase from this year’s spending plan. The overall figure comprises about $15.4 million for general-government, $41.9 million for education, $988,015 for capital and $4.7 million for debt service.
The tax rate increase is expected to be approximately half a mill, First Selectman Paul Formica said at the annual town meeting on May 13.
