Norwich sells five properties at auction

Norwich – The city sold five properties taken for back taxes at auction Friday, each sold for the minimum $5,000 bid price.
CAP Realty, owned by the Capano family, which also owns the Norwich Shop Rite supermarket and the Harp & Dragon Irish pub, purchased three vacant lots in Laurel Hill that collectively total more than 5 acres. The lots are at 30 Laurel Circle, 3 acres, 32 Laurel Circle, 1 acre and 28 Ridgewood Drive, 1.28 acres.
A two-family house at 370 Asylum St. was sold to Jon Bazinet, and a single-family house at 165 Talman St. was sold to Danielson-based Corner Properties.
