Preston residents asked to complete survey on future town plan

Preston – As part of its preparation to update the 10-year Plan of Conservation and Development, the Planning and Zoning Commission is asking all residents to fill out a survey on important town issues.

PZC Chairman Art Moran Jr. said the survey and a stamped return envelope was sent to every Preston household last week and he wants to be sure no households were left out of the mailing. Each resident age 18 or older is asked to fill out one survey.

“What you have to say will help the PZC understand the needs and desires of its residents,” Moran said in a letter to residents. “This is an important part of preparing the plan. Please take the time to fill out the survey.”

The PZC will hold public workshops on the plan update that will be listed on the town website. The survey also is posted on the website.

Additional surveys may be obtained by emailing Kathleen Nichols at nichols@preston-ct.org or may be picked up at the Preston Public Library, town clerk's Office or the Planning and Zoning Office at Town Hall, 389 Route 2.

Surveys may be dropped off at any of these locations or mailed to: Planning & Zoning Office, 389 Route 2, Preston, CT 06365.
