Psoriatic arthritis is topic of Backus talk

Norwich - The William W. Backus Hospital will host “Understanding Psoriatic Arthritis” from 5 to 6 p.m. Sept. 10 at the Backus Outpatient Care Center, 111 Salem Turnpike.
Main symptoms of psoriatic arthritis include joint pain, stiffness and swelling. The disease is a form of arthritis that affects some people who have psoriasis, or red patches of skin with silver-looking scales.
The talk will be given by Dr. Sandeep Varma, medical director of the Backus Arthritis Center. To register for this free event, call (860) 425-8710.
