New London — A debate will be held Tuesday for candidates for City Council.

Sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Southeastern Connecticut, the New London Neighborhood Alliance and New London Parent Advocates, the debate will feature four incumbents and 12 challengers vying for seats on the seven-member council.

The debate is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Science and Technology Magnet High School, 490 Jefferson Ave.

Beginning at 6 p.m., attendees can meet the candidates and submit written questions for the debate. At 8:30 p.m., candidates will be available to meet with audience members for half an hour.
