    Teen leadership classes to start

    Norwich – Norwich Youth and Family Services is taking applications for its teen leadership council program.

    The Teen Leadership Council is an intensive leadership program that teaches participants communication skills, problem solving skills, negotiation skills, coalition building, grant writing, and staging media campaigns.

    While the students are learning the skills, they are also utilizing the skills to develop and implement the community service project of their choice.

    This 13-week program begins on Friday Feb. 21, from 3 to 8 p.m and continues for the next 13 Wednesdays from 3 to 4:45 p.m. Classes will be held at NFA.

    The program is free for high school students who live in or attend school in Norwich. The program is limited to 15 students.
