Lomme wins another term as judge of Saybrook Probate Court

Attorney Terrance Lomme, an Essex Democrat, was re-elected Tuesday to another four-year term as judge of the Saybrook Probate Court.

Lomme defeated challenger Anselmo Delia, a Republican from Clinton, by 346 votes. It was a similar result to the 2010 election, in which Lomme defeated Delia by 419 votes.

The court encompasses nine towns including Chester, Clinton, Deep River, Essex, Haddam, Killingworth, Lyme, Old Saybrook and Westbrook.

While final results were not yet available on the Secretary of the State website Wednesday evening, Delia wrote on his Facebook page that 25,526 votes were cast in the election, with Lomme receiving 12,936 votes and Delia getting 12,590 votes. Lomme won in Chester, Deep River, Essex, Lyme and Old Saybrook, while Delia garnered the most votes in Clinton, Killingworth, Haddam and Westbrook.
