Students at Niantic Center School put together a cooperative holiday mural, which is hanging in the front hall of the school. Art teacher June O’Connor came up with the idea to make a mural depicting downtown Niantic during the holiday season. The mural is made from cut paper with marker and paint details and includes a snowy sky, houses decorated for Christmas and Hanukkah, people enjoying winter activities, and several recognizable locations, include the boardwalk, toy store, gazebo and Frosty Treat, and Dairy Queen.
