Green Party members pick up litter from Waterford streets
Members of the Waterford Green Party collected more than 80 pounds of litter from the town’s streets during a day-long cleanup last month, they said in a news release.
Volunteers, including three of Green Party candidates for town office, cleared trash from Spera Field, Gardiners Wood Road and the town’s civic triangle are around the Town Hall and library to clark Lane Middle School on June 24.
“The party is very proud of all it accomplished...and it hopes that today’s event will help to ignite a conversation within the community about what we can do to each better our town and better our local ecosystems,” they said in the release.
