    Gathering the lambs

Farmhands Victoria Filimon, left, and Jenny Hill move ewes and their three-day-old newborn lambs out of the birthing pens to a larger holding area at Sankow's Beaver Brook Farm in Lyme on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2018. The farm expects around 400 lambs this spring, with 160 of their East Friesian and Romney ewes giving birth over the next couple of weeks and another 45 due in April. The farm produces meat, dairy products and wool from its sheep flock. (Sean D. Elliot/The Day)
