Burrows Field will have new lights this year, thanks in part to a donation from the Groton Rotary Club.

The club recently gave a $10,000 check to Groton Little League to help pay for the four 60-foot lighting poles, a total cost of $80,000. The new lights will allow the growing league to hold more practices, games and tournaments without being limited by darkness.

The Groton Rotary Club raises money every year to support scholarship funds and grants such as the lighting check.
