Mohegans, Pasta Vita opening Wethersfield location next week
Mohegan — The Mohegan Holding Co., the Mohegan Tribe’s nongaming arm, will open its second Pasta Vita location April 17 in Wethersfield.
The gourmet-to-go location will open at noon, with the first 50 people in line receiving free entrees for a year, the tribe announced. On opening day, 20 percent of sales will be donated to the Connecticut chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.
Employees at the location, which includes a 6,000-square-foot kitchen and 1,700 square feet of retail space, will prepare the food sold at the Wethersfield and Mohegan Sun Pasta Vita locations as well as at future Mohegan-owned Pasta Vita sites.
Rich Cersosimo and Lou Castanho founded Pasta Vita in Old Saybrook in 1996. They partnered with Mohegan Sun in 2015, opening a location at the casino.
