Drivers should expect continued delays on Interstate 395 between Montville and Norwich as the state Department of Transportation announced plans Monday to extend its survey project on a six-mile stretch of the highway through Friday, May 11.

Initially planned for April 23 through April 27, DOT says the project will include left lane closures on I-395 northbound and southbound between Route 2A in Montville to Exit 14 in Norwich between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. throughout the week.

Crash attenuator vehicles and signage will guide motorists through the work zone, where the DOT encouraged drivers to maintain safe speeds.
