Car strikes light pole in front of Union Station in New London

New London - Water Street was closed for about 15 minutes Saturday evening after a car crashed into a light pole in front of Union Station around 4:45 p.m.
There were no apparent injuries. Traffic on State Street was backed up due to police redirecting traffic from Bank Street as a result of the crash.
New London police and fire officials responded.
