Preston – Voters will decide Tuesday whether to approve the proposed town government and school budgets at the annual budget referendum.

Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Town Hall, 389 Route 2.

The first question is on the $11,926,804 school budget, and the second question asks whether the town government budget of $3,496,000 should be adopted.

About 50 residents attended the May 31 town meeting and rejected efforts to cut the budget more than the earlier decision by the Board of Finance to cut $120,000 from each proposed budget.
