DOT to close lane on I-95 north in vicinity of Exit 71 Wednesday night

The state Department of Transportation plans to close a lane on I-95 northbound in the vicinity of Exit 71 in Old Lyme and East Lyme between 7 p.m. Wednesday and 6 a.m. Thursday to allow for road milling and paving, according to an announcement from State Rep. Holly Cheeseman, R-East Lyme. The work is to repair pavement damage due to a vehicle fire.

"Motorists are urged to obey the posted speed limit and proceed with caution when driving in this area," she wrote.
