Mohegan Congregational Church names new pastor
The Rev. George E. Blair III has been named the new pastor at Mohegan Congregational Church in Uncasville. Blair comes to the church after serving at the United Congregational Church in Norwich, as well as churches in Alaska and two other states.
Blair attended the University of Connecticut, Trinity College, the University of Connecticut Law School and Yale Divinity School, where he won the Wolcott-Calkins Prize in 1989 for his public speaking abilities from the pulpit. He is also licensed to practice law in three states.
Blair lives in the Thamesville section of Norwich with his wife Michelle, and they have eight children and 12 grandchildren.
The Mohegan Congregational Church was founded in 1831, with services held at 9:30 a.m. on Sundays. For more information, call (860) 848-2029. The church is located at 27 Church Lane in Uncasville.
