Musical Masterworks is opening its 28th season with a weekend of Dvorak selections on Saturday, Oct. 6, and Sunday, Oct. 7.

The show will feature Dvorak’s D Major Piano Quartet, Silent Woods for Cello and Piano, a Dvorak-inspired piece titled “Dumka” by Rebecca Clarke, and Faure’s C Minor Piano Quartet.

Artistic director and cellist Edward Arron will perform alongside veteran performers Orion Weiss on piano and Carmit Zori on violin, as well as violist Mark Holloway in his Musical Masterworks debut.

Tickets are $40 and $5 for students. The Saturday show begins at 5 p.m., and the Sunday show begins at 3 p.m. at the First Congregational Church of Old Lyme, 2 Ferry Road.
