Groton Registrars announce voter registration session
Groton — The registrars have announced they will hold a voter registration session from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 30, at the Human Services Building, 2 Fort Hill Road, to register new voters for the general election on Nov. 6.
The cutoff date for voter registration by mail for the general election is Oct. 30. New voter registration cards must be postmarked by that date, and received by Nov. 5, according to a news release.
A limited voter registration session will be held from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Monday, Nov. 5, for people seeking to vote in the general election whose qualifications as to age, citizenship, or residence were attained after the cutoff date, the release states.
People with questions can call the Groton Voter Registration Office at (860) 441-6650. Regular office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
