Mystic — The replica Viking ship Draken Harald Hårfagre returned to Mystic Seaport Museum on Wednesday from its summer voyage.

The vessel, a clinker-built replica of a Viking great ship, has been touring the East Coast of the U.S., from Maine to Virginia, since it left Mystic in July. It has returned to winter at the museum's Chubb's Wharf, as it has for the past two years.

In April 2016, Draken left its home port, Haugesund, in Norway to begin an expedition to sail to America. The ship crossed the Atlantic, sailed throughout the Great Lakes and ventured through the Erie Canal and Hudson River to New York City before coming to Mystic in October 2016.
