Norwich — A crew from Norwich Public Utilities had to remove a fallen tree Thursday on Garfield Avenue.
The tree fell across the road from 34 Garfield Ave., taking down power lines and knocking out power in the immediate area. No other damage was reported.
The road was closed for the tree-clearing effort.
