Connecticut Tigers offer ticket discounts on Pi Day Thursday

Norwich – Math and baseball will come together Thursday for the Connecticut Tigers’ fifth annual Pi Day special ticket promotion in celebration of the mathematical constant of 3.14159.

The Thomas J. Dodd Memorial Stadium Box Office will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and will sell reserved seat tickets to the Connecticut Tigers’ opening night game Sunday, June 16, for the special discounted price of $3.14. The game begins at 7:05 p.m. with fireworks following the game.

Tickets may be purchased in person at the box office, by phone at (860) 887-7962 or online at www.cttigers.com.

This will be the first opportunity to purchase individual game tickets for Opening Day. Individual game tickets for all 38 games will go on sale in early April.

This season marks the 10th anniversary in Norwich for the Connecticut Tigers minor league affiliate of the Detroit Tigers and the 25th anniversary of minor league baseball at Dodd Stadium.

"This special Pi Day offer is a way for us to say Thank You to our fans as another offseason comes to an end and this anniversary season kicks off on Opening Night June 16,” Tigers General Manager Dave Schermerhorn said in a press release announcing the promotion.
