Stonington -- The town’s 2018 grand list — the total value of all the real estate, motor vehicles and personal property such as business equipment in town — has increased by 0.79 percent or $22 million from $2,771,030,190 to $2,793,031,779.

A value of a mill is now equal to $2,793, 031.

The net assesssment of the town’s top 10 taxpayers are as follows:

Connecticut Light and Power, $40.9 million; Mystic CT Senior Property LLC (Stone Ridge), $24.2 million; Aquarion Water Co. of CT, $14.8 million; Senior Living by Masonicare, $29.4 million; Mashantucket Pequot Tribe, $10.9 million; DDH Hotel Mystic LLC (Mystic Hilton) $10.5 million; Joyce O. Resnikoff Trustee (Olde Mistick Village), $10 million; VIII-HII-Whitehall Avenue LLC (Residence Inn), $10 million; Yankee Gas Services Co., $8.3 million and Spirit Master Funding X LLC (Davis Standard), $8.2 million.

The ranking for Masonicare is based on its estimated payment in lieu of taxes agreement to the town which calls for it to pay a portion of the tax rate for the general government budget and debt service.
