Students at Teachers' Memorial Global Studies Magnet Middle School in Norwich present their ideas to teams of judges during the school's annual Invention Convention Friday, March 29, 2019.
Approximately 230 students in the school participated with judges coming from the community and Norwich Free Academy.
Judging criteria ranged from originality, to effectiveness, practicality, and need as well the student inventors' presentation. Local winners will move on to the statewide competition held at UConn in May.
