New London — The New London Talent Show returned Saturday.

Performers hail from towns around the area, with three-quarters from New London. Themed "Small City Big Dreams" this year, the event was founded by Curtis K. Goodwin and Frank Colmenares in the wake of the 2010 murder of downtown resident Matthew Chew by a group of local teens.

The show formerly was called the New London Youth Talent Show.
