    Long Island Sound Blue Plan to be presented April 25 in Stonington

    Stonington _ Nathan Frohling, the director of Coastal and Marine Initiatives for the Nature Conservancy, and Frogard Ryan, the group’s state director, will make a presentation on the Long Island Sound Blue Plan at La Grua Center on Thursday, April 25 at 6 p.m.

    This initiative by the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) and other stakeholders is designed to protect traditional uses of the Sound, such as fishing and boating, while protecting the its ecologically significant places. The Blue Plan contains information and mapping about human usage and ecological resources.

    There will be an opportunity to ask questions after the presentation. The event, hosted by the Stonington Garden Club, is free and open to the public.
