Dozens to receive diplomas at New London Adult Education graduation
Commencement exercises for New London Adult Education and Continuing Education were to be held Friday at New London High School, where a host of students from across the region were receiving high school and GED diplomas.
Several in the group are graduates of the Montville Adult Education program.
New London Adult Education Director Maria Pukas was presiding over the event. Participants were expected to include School Superintendent Cynthia Ritchie, Board of Education President Manuel Rivera and New London Adult Education guidance counselor Karen O’Connell. The keynote speaker for the graduation was to be U.S. Rep. Joe Courtney, D-2nd District.
Class speakers are Alison Porter-Sirpenski and Joseph Chamberlain.
