Mohegan Wigwam Festival set for Aug. 17-18 on reservation

Mohegan — The Mohegan Tribe’s annual wigwam festival will take place from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Aug. 17 and 18 at Fort Shantok on the Mohegan reservation.

Grand entry will be at noon each day.

All ages are welcome at the festival, which will feature displays of Mohegan culture and traditions, including Native American crafts, foods, dancing and drumming. Admission is free. Pets are not allowed.

Parking will be available in Mohegan Sun’s Thames Garage, with shuttles running throughout each day. There will be no on-site parking.
