    Go Fund Me page set up for Mystic man critically injured in industrial accident

    Mystic -- A Go Fund Me page has been set up to assist the family of a local man critically injured in an industrial accident last month.

    Truck driver Alex Medina was injured when a large log fell on his head while he was loading his truck at a Stamford transfer station on Aug. 12. He suffered head, neck and spinal cord injuries.

    Family friend Kim Bigelow said Medina has now been removed from a ventilator and food tube he was on and been moved to a rehabilitation center. She said he still does not have feeling in his arms, and he can only move his toes.

    She said his family is have difficulty with living expenses as without income their home is at risk and medical bills are piling up.
