League of Women Voters moderating North Stonington debate
North Stonington — The League of Women Voters of Southeastern Connecticut will host a moderated debate with the town's first selectman and board of selectmen candidates at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21, at Wheeler Library.
First selectman candidates participating include incumbent Mike Urgo, who is a member of the Independent party, but endorsed by the Democratic Town Committee, and Republican challenger Brett Mastroianni. Board of Selectman candidates include Republican Robert Carlson and Democrat Nita Kincaid, both incumbents.
The debate is free and open to the public. Residents interested in submitting questions for consideration can email lwvsect12@gmail.com or fill out a card at the debate.
The library is located at 101 Main St.
