Books and spooks in Groton

Groton Public Library’s annual Bumpers and Books attracted more than 500 members of the community for a literary trunk-or-treat event on Saturday, Oct. 19. The day featured more than 30 book-themed cars, including trunks decorated like “Charlotte’s Web,” “It,” “The Great Gatsby,” “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow,” “In the Night Kitchen” and “The Going to Bed Book.” Members of the Marine Science Magnet High School’s Interact Club also hosted a table for face painting, tattoos and crafts.
